Pernille Lind, is an interior and furniture designer having graduated with a BA (Hons) from The University of Arts London and received an MA from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, Schools of Architecture, Design and Conservation.
Pernille’s creative approach is influenced by Danish and Scandinavian design aesthetics mixed with Asian decorative and material inspirations. She was brought up travelling the world and grew up in a family who appreciated crafted designs. Her grandfather ran a family workshop, upholstering furniture and supplied decorative interiors. Her father, an engineer, taught her the art of sculpture through bridges and magnificent rhythmic structures, and her mother having run two antique shops in Bangkok, taught her the value of objects with a story.
Today she calls London her home, which is where the studio is based. Here she finds a lot of her inspiration through the city's vast cultural and historical references.
After working for some of the most prestigious names in the industry such as Anouska Hempel Design, Conran + Partners and Soho House & Co, she then established her first company Lind + Almond in 2015.
With Pernille Lind Studio she aims to create design solutions with particular attention to detail and atmosphere, undoubtedly adding her own personal twist.
