Pernille Lind, MA. Spatial Design, The Royal Danish Academy. BA (Hons) Design for Branded Spaces, London College of Communication, University of the Arts London.

She has over 15 years of industry experience within hospitality and residential design, having worked for some of the top studios in London such as Anouska Hempel Design, Conran + Partners and Soho House Co.. She is one half of design duo Lind + Almond, who won in the categories ‘Renovation & Restoration’ and ‘Hotel Of The Year’ at the AHEAD Europe Awards 2018, for their inaugural project Hotel Sanders, in Copenhagen.

Pernille’s creative approach is influenced by Scandinavian design aesthetics mixed with Asian decorative and material inspirations. She was brought up traveling the world, and raised by a family who appreciated crafted designs. Her grandfather ran a family workshop, upholstering furniture and supplied decorative materials. Her father an engineer, taught her the art of sculpture through bridges and magnificent rhythmic structures, and her mother having run two antique shops in Bangkok, taught her the value of objects with a story.

Pernille has a natural intuition and sensibility to understand the brief and aspirations of her clients and the projects she works on. She leads her team through all phases of the design process, adding a touch of her distinctive style to each project.

“ We approach each project with curiosity and an openness to be challenged ”

Interior Architecture

We design layouts and spaces through plan optimisation. We analyze flow, function and construction.

Often of our projects start with an existing building, which needs total renovation or in some cases a new build. We work with our clients, project architects and contractors, in order to design spaces that meet the brief. The interior architecture is the foundation and backdrop of our interior scheme, and the finer details.

Interior Design

We strive to create timeless interiors, by understanding locality and context.

Our process is simple, it’s holistic and it’s collaborative. We don’t always have the end result set in stone. However, in order to achieve a high level of quality and functionality, we work methodically to evaluate the practicalities of each space with attention to detail and feasibility.

Bespoke Furniture & Joinery

We are imaginative yet practical designers. We love to explore new materials and expand our knowledge.

No space should feel so familiar that it becomes predictable, nor should it be so avant-garde that it becomes outlandish. Furniture and joinery piece must be well designed, appropriate in style and made by high quality materials. The pursuit of working with local makers, is key to our design ethos.
