PROJECTS — THE LAKE TOWNHOUSE
Pernille Lind Studio was given the rare opportunity to take part in the renovation of one of the most sought-after town houses in Copenhagen. The house is situated off one of the roads by the East city lakes, also called 'kartoffelrækkerne'.
The houses were built between 1873 - 1889 by the Workers Association, for the working class to have affordable and ‘hygienic’ accommodation in the city center. Originally you weren’t allowed to build on the land for the security and defense of the city, and it was only reserved for potato farming. Therefore, with the 11 rows of houses perfectly in line, the area for locals is called ‘the potato-rows’.
Pernille Lind Studio delivered a full interior design service, including bespoke joinery and final styling.
