Pernille Lind, MA. Spatial Design, The Royal Danish Academy. BA (Hons) Design for Branded Spaces, London College of Communication, University of the Arts London.

She has over 13 years of industry experience within hospitality and residential design, having worked for some of the top studios in London such as Anouska Hempel Design, Conran + Partners and Soho House Co.. She is one half of design duo Lind + Almond, who won in the categories ‘Renovation & Restoration’ and ‘Hotel Of The Year’ at the AHEAD Europe Awards 2018, for their inaugural project Hotel Sanders, in Copenhagen.

Pernille’s creative approach is influenced by Scandinavian design aesthetics mixed with Asian decorative and material inspirations. She was brought up traveling the world, and raised by a family who appreciated crafted designs. Her grandfather ran a family workshop, upholstering furniture and supplied decorative materials. Her father an engineer, taught her the art of sculpture through bridges and magnificent rhythmic structures, and her mother having run two antique shops in Bangkok, taught her the value of objects with a story.

Pernille has a natural intuition and sensibility to understand the brief and aspirations of her clients and the projects she works on. She leads her team through all phases of the design process, adding a touch of her distinctive style to each project.

“ We approach each project with curiosity and an openness to be challenged ”

Interior Architecture

We analyses the space through developing a series of layouts, questioning flow, function and construction.

Most of our projects start with either a new building or an existing, which needs total renovation. We work with our client and specialist consultants in order to design spaces that work and can become the perfect blue print for our further development into the interior design scheme.

Interior Design

We discuss practicalities, spatial attributes and adaptability with our clients. In order to create great interiors we must understand context and aspirations.

Our process is simple, it’s holistic and it’s collaborative. We don’t always have the end result in our heads, but we work methodically and evaluate the practicalities of each space, material with attention to feasible detailing.

Bespoke Furniture & Joinery

We are imaginative yet practical creators, and we love to explore new materials and production techniques.

Core to our design ethos is that no space should feel so familiar so it becomes predictable, nor should it be so avant-garde that it becomes outlandish. Each individual piece must be well designed, appropriate in style and made by high quality materials and skilled manufacturing methods.
